Mastering
at RDMS
We have been mastering music for many years now at RDMS recording studio.
In that time we have mastered commercial releases both here in Adelaide
and for overseas markets.
Mastering is critical if you want your music to sound it's best in a wide range
of playing environments.
Music is a highly competitive industry and commercial CD's that have not been
properly mastered are rare indeed.
By classic
definition, audio mastering is the final creative process in producing
a CD for
release.
Typically songs go through a number of processes such as equalization,
compression and excitation. Fades and additional editing can occur, the end
result being a professional sounding product.
If you plan on retail sales and/or getting serious airplay, mastering is
essential.
For an example of our mastering go to the samples page.
Typically an average song takes about 30 minutes to
master properly.
Getting the best out of a recording takes years of ear training and specialised
equipment including a listening environment that translates the sound accurately
into the real world.
Radio, mp3 players, car stereos and home systems all colour
sound in different ways.
You want your recording to sound as good as it can on
ALL of these formats.
Current
Mastering rate is $60 per hour

All of our masters are burned
